The 19th is an independent, mission-driven organization aimed at giving women and LGBTQ+ people — particularly those from underrepresented communities — the information, resources and tools they need to be equal participants in American democracy. Contract openings
Contract economy reporter (apply by January 9, 2025)
We’re seeking a part-time contract reporter to report and write articles about the economy, focusing on how politics and policies impact women and LGBTQ+ people. You will report to the politics editor and help illuminate what state and federal governments are doing, covering issues that could range from the child tax credit to tariffs to immigration. The six-month position is for 25 hours a week, from mid-to-late January through June or July 2025. More here.
Contract digital ad sales rep (apply by January 13, 2025)
We’re seeking a part-time contract digital ad sales representative to help expand our reach and maximize revenue opportunities. Role responsibilities include identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and selling and executing weekly digital and newsletter advertising sponsorship campaigns. This contract position runs through the end of 2025 with potential for renewal. More here.
