With Roe v. Wade overturned by the Supreme Court, each state has the right to control its level of access to abortion — or ban it completely. The 19th created this dashboard to centralize updates on the status of abortion rights in each state. Submit tips, updates or corrections to ajohnston@19thnews.org.

Latest news

  • Wyoming has enacted a law banning abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. The law has limited exceptions, only allowing abortion after that point if staying pregnant presents “imminent peril that substantially endangers her life or health.”

Abortion rights supporters have filed a motion challenging the law in a state district court. Wyoming’s Supreme Court has struck down other abortion restrictions because the state constitution specifically protects residents’ right to make their own health care decisions.
