This year’s third annual #19thRepresents Summit, held from June 15-17, will explore 50 years of Title IX — a federal civil rights law that prohibits schools that receive government funding from discriminating on the basis of sex, including sexual orientation and gender identity.

The law is wide ranging, and generally has provided more opportunity for women’s participation in athletics and leadership in collegiate communities. In recent years, the interpretation of the law has expanded to extend protections to transgender students.

We are convening leaders and influencers from the fields of law, politics, academia, sports, business and STEM to explore how far gender equality has come in this country in the past five decades and what’s next. And we want to include your experiences to help shape the discussion ahead of the summit. Your stories will help inform the questions we ask our summit speakers, so that the conversations are particularly relevant to you, 19th readers.

The 19th thanks our sponsors. Become one.

What is your Title IX story? How have you been impacted by the landmark law? How do you hope to see this law and its protections evolve in the future?

Share your story with us to potentially be included in our summit event programming, as part of storytelling we publish on our website and social platforms:
