President Donald Trump signed an executive order that says he wants to end “Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling.” It threatens to withhold federal funding from K-12 schools that allow inclusive language and policies for transgender students or language and policies that recognize systemic inequities based on race or gender. The administration has taken a number of steps to follow up and threaten funding for schools that don’t certify they are following rules against diversity, equity and inclusion practices.
