Sabreen Dawud

Sabreen Dawud is a former Frances Ellen Watkins Harper reporting fellow. At The 19th, she worked alongside reporters and editors to develop editorial content for our distribution channels and created news that represents groups of varying backgrounds and highlights the experiences of women, LGBTQ+ people and other marginalized communities. Before The 19th, she was a freelance writer for AFRO-American Newspapers covering social and cultural issues, and editor-in-chief of Six Eleven Magazine, a Black-owned arts magazine. Sabreen is a Howard University alumna with a bachelor’s degree in media, journalism and film communications and a minor in English.
