Hi! I’m India Rice, one of The 19th’s reporting fellows. I am a multimedia journalist with a passion for culture, political and entertainment reporting.
Before The 19th, I worked at SiriusXM as a production intern for The Sporkful and at Atlas Obscura podcasts, where I produced and edited episodes about food exploration and unique locations around the world. I also voiced three episodes of the Atlas Obscura podcast on eccentric locations in pop culture.
I hold a bachelor’s in mass media arts from Clark Atlanta University and a master’s in journalism from New York University. During my studies I covered Atlanta University Center culture to sexual misconduct in New York City’s juvenile detention centers.
My work can be found in Complex, Forbes, Atlanta Magazine, Essence and more.
My work is free to consume and free to republish because of contributions from readers like you. A donation of $19 goes a long way toward sustaining our nonprofit newsroom.
