Amethyst Holmes is a former Frances Ellen Watkins Harper product fellow. At The 19th, she worked with the product and technology team to center the needs and desires of readers and make the experience with The 19th’s journalism even better. Before The 19th, she worked in various communications and marketing roles for nearly a decade, including as head of content strategy for global sports nonprofit Athletes in Action and a reporter at The Huntsville Times/AL.com. Amethyst is a University of Alabama alum and earned a Master of Divinity from Howard University.
