Former Audience Engagement Fellow (she/her)

Chanel Cain is a former Frances Ellen Watkins Harper audience engagement fellow. At The 19th, she learned from and worked with the audience team to connect our readers to our journalism on platforms including Instagram, Threads, Twitter/X and LinkedIn. Before The 19th, she was a global content and programming coordinator for the Black-owned streaming service kweliTV. Chanel is an alumna of Howard University where she covered culture, politics and campus events for the Hilltop, Truth Be Told magazine and the Seattle Medium.
