I’m Eden Turner, a reporting fellow for The 19th. Before The 19th, I served as the education and politics reporter for the Times-News in Twin Falls, Idaho, a small town in the center of the Magic Valley. I have also interned at Savannah Morning News and Atlanta News First. In college, I served as editor-in-chief of Tiger’s Roar, Savannah State University’s student newspaper.
At The 19th, I have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of stories that highlight the intersections of race, gender and politics, serving groups and communities that are often overlooked. During my fellowship year, I hope to grow as a reporter and cover stories that continue to bolster The 19th’s mission and support readers like you.
I am a proud Savannah State alumna with a bachelor’s in journalism and mass communications and a minor in English. In my free time, I love learning more about the world and spending time with my friends and family.
My work is free to consume and free to republish because of contributions from readers like you. A donation of $19 goes a long way toward sustaining our nonprofit newsroom.
